Last modified at May 6th, 2020

Overview

This document will outline how to get your email address from Décor Fusion and send a mass email using those addresses to send a mass Email merge.

Procedure

Firstly, we need to create a Promotional Customer Email List and Send Word Doc. In Decor Fusion go to Reports and then User Queries.

Inside the queries select the Customer Email List query and click Run Query button. If this query is not setup, please contact the CBC Support Department and they will add it for you.

Set your parameters for the email list. (Eg. Customer type, sales range, Customer since) then click Run Query button at the bottom.

With the output, filter the columns by desired criteria. (Eg. Contact Type)

Once satisfied with the way the list looks right click in the grid, select Export, and choose Excel.

Save the file to desired location with desired name. (Eg. Email list.xlsx to Desktop)

With email list saved open desired Microsoft Word Document that will be emailed. Once inside document click on Mailings tab at the top of Word.

Click Start Mail Merge button.

Click Email Messages option.

Note: The formatting of the document may change once email messages option is clicked!

Click on Select Recipients. Within Select Recipients choose Use Existing List.

A window for choosing the file will come up, findexcel file with the email that were exported earlier and choose that file.

In the next window choose the sheet name for your email list. (Eg. Sheet1)

The email list will be connected to the document in the background. Once satisfied with the layout of the document click on Finish & Merge.

Within Finish & Merge select Send Email Messages.

Enter a Subject and then Click OK.

While each time a message is sent the Window’s Loading Icon below will show.
