Overview

This document is designed to assist you in product selection for the Home Cards on your eCommerce site with Decor Fusion.  It explains the logic in the selection process of the products to better understand the output of the items attached to any given individual home card.

Procedures

Once logged into your eCommerce site using your administrator account, click the hamburger menu at the top left corner of the screen (Fig.1), expand the Admin menu, and select Home Page (Fig. 2).

From the popup screen, you will see the logic is based upon an “and or” scenario.  This means any product that is part of the selected Department (if selected) AND Class (if selected)AND Line (if selected) AND Brand (if selected) AND Tag (if selected) will appear as seen in Fig. 4.  Inside of each Department, Class, Line, Brand and Tag the OR logic is used.  For example, in Fig. 5, the output for this home card would display items in the Department of Paint Supplies and a member of one of the classes selected.

Note: The Department, Class and Line are referring to the ones “On Portal” not from your persona database.  They are columns that can be added to your eCommerce grid using the column chooser inside your Decor Fusion database. To see the column chooser, right click on any column heading and select “Column Chooser” (Fig. 6).  This will display a list similar to that shown in Fig. 7.

All of this is found in the main popup window of the Home Card (Fig. 11). Once all selections are completed or you want to view your options, click Save and then Test URL to see the results of your selections to ensure the output matches what you envision the customers to see on your site. If the results do not match what you desired, go back and adjust the settings where needed in the Home Card and repeat the save and test URL to confirm.
