Overview

This article explains how the setting Warn if Creating Backorders works in Decor Fusion. 

Procedure

This setting is found by following these steps:

1.       Goto Edit > Software Settings

2.       Click the arrow next to Company and Stores

3.       Select Company Settings

4.       Go to the Point of Sale tab

5.       See checkbox for Warn if Creating Backorders

To show what this setting does, here is an existing order created in Decor:

If the Order Type is updated from Quotation to Sale,and the Quantity of line 1 is changed from 5 to 1, this will change the Backorder(B/O) amount to 4:

Now, pressing Complete (F4) will lead to this popup appearing:

If you press Yes, the order will continue as normal.If you press Cancel, you can go back and make changes to the order. If you press No, the B/O amount will change from 4 to 0 and Decor will prompt for payment:

Note that Warn if Creating Backorders does not affect Purchase Orders. If a backorder amount is set in a Purchase Order, you will not receive a Back Order Warning.
